2 Handled Field Basket
This is a large oak splint field basket with a double wrapped round top, square bottom with 3 runners, two handles and a nice nutty color. Very nicely shaped and the condition is very good. There is a minor loss in one corner which is included in one of the photos. Dating late 19th or early 20th C. it measures 10 ½ inches high and the outside diameter is 18 ½ inches. Blue Decorated Bird Jug
Unmarked 2 gal. jug with a very nice bird. The jug has some tight spider lines in the front bottom (see pics). In the making glaze drips and a rough spot lower front otherwise very nice condition. Fantail Bird On A Branch - Penn Yan N.Y.
This is a marked Whites Utica blue decorated 3 gal. handled crock with an excellent cobalt blue fantail bird on a branch. There is a shallow chip along the inside of the rim at the back side behind the left handle with a very tight line extending down from there about 5 inches. Otherwise VG condition. We were thrilled to find this rare form Taghkanic Basket. It is a 19th C swing handle with rectangular bottom and oblong top. OL is 17, OW is 15 and height of the body is 6.
